Danny Wainwright

Danny was born in 1975 and started tagging on the streets of Coventry, England at the early age of 8 with his older brother who introduced him to the Hip Hop culture of Breakdancing, Graffiti and Rap music.

Heavily influenced by the books Subway-art and Spraycan-art the craft of graffiti was safely etched in the younger years of growing up in Coventry. 

Graffiti and art in general were always been part of his early years and at the age of 11 he picked up a Skateboard which changed his direction and inevitably his life.

Danny, a world record holder and world-renowned Professional Skateboarder for over 25 years and with over 30 years in the Skate industry the art and aesthetics of skateboard graphics were always of huge interest also.

He went on to do skateboard graphics and designs for numerous major skateboard and clothing-brands over the years. 

At the age of 17 he moved to Bristol UK which was a hub for street art, graffiti and music and while always painting typical Black and Silver graffiti letters in the streets but painting at home he began to develop his own style using bright colours, geometric shapes and a clash of different styles and techniques which would help him develop a following for his work and also start showing work in group exhibitions and solo shows. 

Nowadays residing in Barcelona, Danny is spending more time in his studio focusing on his work and continuing to develop his paintings and grow as an artist as well as focusing on his Clothing brand Ahead Worldwide.
