Pelucas

Pelucas Pilas Bubbles, born in Vigo in 1980, is a self-taught artist whose work began with early experiments alongside his twin brother, blending influences from comics and nature observation. At age 20, he focused on street art, collaborating with his group The Special Children (VSC), and developing a distinctive style influenced by skate, punk, and heavy music.

Pelucas has painted extensively in cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Hamburg, Berlin, Mexico City, Tangier, Rome, Paris, and London. His work has been exhibited in museums including MARCO (Vigo) and galleries such as Subaquética (Madrid), Javier Lopez (Madrid), Poulsen Gallery (Copenhagen), and Limited Gallery (Milan).

Known for his fauvist and tropical style, Pels creates surreal worlds filled with psychotropic characters, balancing humor, irony, and critical reflection. His work combines abstract and figurative elements, masterful color use, and trompe-l’œil techniques, resulting in art that is simultaneously complex, playful, and thought-provoking.
