Ghost in the Wall

Artist Karla Kracht presents "Ghost in the Wall" at Fousion Gallery. A dreamlike and ghostly sequence composed of rotating platforms, comic-style objects and characters, loops, soundscapes, and moving shadows combine to create an immersive experience. This work, inspired by Kracht's travels to Taiwan, explores a world of ghostly coincidences and dark dreams where everything seems connected and possible.

"Ghost in the Wall" blends the physical sensations of common panics, nightmares, and existential fears with the experience of the month of hungry ghosts in Taiwan when spirits join the human world. In each presentation, new ghosts and local stories are added, integrating pre-Inca Andean spirits, French gargoyles, and Maltese sea monsters, creating a unique experience in every location. The performance combines miniature scenographies, ceramic objects, comic figures, and cinematic projections, with lights and shadows creating a shadow visual play. Filmed in real-time and simultaneously projected on the big screen, the show is enriched with pre-recorded 2D animations and an impressive soundtrack, allowing the audience to immerse themselves in a tiny world of ghosts and dreams.
