Overlapping with its 5th anniversary, Urvanity Art Fair will be presenting this year for the first time Online Solo Shows at its Digital Platform for you to discover the New Contemporary Art from wherever you are.

The physical Urvanity Art Fair has had to be postponed, but, in spite of nowadays worldwide difficulties, we want to keep claiming the importance of art and culture. The physical Art Fair will take place in Madrid from May 27th to May 30th 2021.

At the introductory Online Solo Show at the Urvanity’s Digital Platform you can discover some of Phil Ashcroft’s most recent artworks, scenes representing landscapes under the artist’s perspective, shaped by Ashcroft’s influence on abstract expressionism, British landscape painting, Japanese woodcuts and graphic street art.

Phil Ashcroft is a painter and graphic artist based in London, his artworks are held in private and public collections worldwide. Ashcroft is a finalist in the John Moores Painting Prize 2014 and in the Celeste Art Prize 2007. He has collaborated on live-painting projects in galleries and alternative spaces, including Tate Modern, for the exhibition Not Soul for Sale (2010).

Phil Ashcroft

Phil Ashcroft’s specific form of gestural, emotive abstraction combines flattened out 1980s style art deco and graffiti influences with references to American abstraction which often threaten to overwhelm the upper sections of his canvases.
